Shetha Faraj Abbo Al Numan comes from another time and place.

She sees herself through others and through life with all its details and the memories which she belonged to. The invisible threads of those memories are woven into her artwork, with her feelings in shapes and colors which are hidden behind surfaces and aged materials.

The Iraqi art fountains enriched her Baghdadi personality; however that didn’t make her forget her Armenian origin and her wounded origin which is filled with passion towards her family and precisely her father. To whom she is related as family and creativity.

Shetha knows that her father “Faraj Abbo” the pioneer artist is an extension of her name, as she will carry on his style of art. Most probably she found it fruitful to continue his style by transforming the visual scene to a spiritual chemistry. This chemistry seeps lines, colors, shapes, and symbols without losing realism with its scent that travels through time and the ache of memories.

But Shetha’s painting is strict, despite the fact that a woman with

her passionate nature and rich feelings is more talkative. It seems she controlled forms in her artwork, as she treated it with the critic cruelty to avoid the artist’s wildness.

On one side she restrained her rhythms within circles, triangles, and arches, on the other side she launched the harmony of colors which are stimulated from light and shade.
